Πολύ άτυχος στάθηκε ο Χάιμε Φερνάντεθ με τον Ισπανό να υπέστη ρήξη προσθίου χιαστού στον αγώνα της Τενερίφη με την Γκραν Κανάρια.
Η σεζόν τελείωσε νωρίς για τον Ισπανό και αυτομάτως τίθεται εκτός και για το προ-Ολυμπιακό τουρνουά του Ιουλίου με την Εθνική της Ισπανίας.
Ο Φερνάντεθ αγωνίστηκε φέτος στο BCL με την Τενερίφη έχοντας κατά μέσο όρο 8.2 πόντους, 1.5 ασίστ και 1.2 ριμπαόυντ ανά 15 λεπτά συμμετοχής.
