Μετά την ανακοίνωση πως οι Ρίτας, Νταρουσάφακα και Μπιλμπάο θα αγωνιστούν στο BCL από τη νέα σεζόν, το Sportando αναφέρει ότι η διοργάνωση της FIBA επιθυμεί να εντάξη στους ομίλους της και την τουρκική Γαλατασαράι.
Σύμφωνα με το Sportando, το BCL θα ήθελε και την «Γαλατά» στην διοργάνωση για να ανεβάσει ακόμη περισσότερο το επίπεδο της , παρότι η τουρκική ομάδα θεωρεί ότι μέσω EuroCup θα αγωνιστεί σύντομα στην Euroleague.
