Άτυχη στάθηκε η Μαρκέλλα Σταμούλου καθώς στο 11ο λεπτό της αναμέτρησης με τη Λετονία χτύπησε στο γόνατο και δε μπόρεσε να συνεχίσει στο ματς.

«Άτυχη στάθηκε στις αρχές του δευτέρου δεκαλέπτου του αγώνα με τη Λετονία η Μαρκέλλα Σταμούλου, η οποία τραυματίστηκε στο γόνατο και δεν συνέχισε.
Από την κλινική εξέταση που έγινε φαίνεται να γλιτώνει τα χειρότερα, ωστόσο η αθλήτρια θα υποβληθεί σε περαιτέρω έλεγχο και μαγνητική.
Οι συμπαίκτριές της πάντως στην Εθνική Νεανίδων της αφιέρωσαν την μεγάλη νίκη της πρεμιέρας».
