Ο 21χρονος άσος, μαζί με τους Σεντεκέρσκις και Γκεντράιτις, δεν ταξίδεψαν στην πρωτεύουσα της Βαυαρίας, με την αποστολή των Βάσκων, την Τετάρτη (22/12), καθώς εμφάνισαν συμπτώματα γρίπης και προτιμήθηκε να μείνουν στην Βιτόρια.
Σε αντίθεση με τους δύο συμπαίκτες του, όμως, η κατάσταση της υγείας του Κούρουκς ήταν πολύ καλύτερη την Πέμπτη (23/12), με αποτέλεσμα ο παίκτης να ταξιδέψει για την Γερμανία και είναι διαθέσιμος για την αποψινή αναμέτρηση απέναντι στην Μπάγερν.
