Στα χέρια του Δημήτρη Πρίφτη έδωσαν το τιμόνι της Τόφας οι ιθύνοντες της τουρκικής ομάδας, με τις δύο πλευρές να υπογράφουν συμβόλαιο συνεργασίας τριετούς διάρκειας.
Αυτή θα είναι η πρώτη φορά που ο Έλληνας προπονητής θα δουλέψει στο τουρκικό πρωτάθλημα, αναλαμβάνοντας την Τόφας, η οποία ολοκλήρωσε την σεζόν στην 9η θέση του πρωταθλήματος, φτάνοντας παράλληλα μέχρι και τα προημιτελικά του FIBA Champions League.
